Electronics Engineer for Devices and Systems

Your tasks

  • You’ll be responsible for the production, commissioning and maintenance of devices, plants and systems that you build yourself.
  • Some of your typical working objects will include ICT equipment, automotive systems, system components, drive elements and signal generators.

Training schedule

In the first three years, you’ll alternate between practical stages at KEB and teaching blocks at the Felix Fechenbach Vocational College in Detmold. In the fourth year of the apprenticeship, you’ll only attend the vocational college once a week. After 3 ½ years of vocational training, you’ll be ready to make a successful start to your career. If you perform well, you’ll also be able to shorten your apprenticeship to 3 years.

  • A basic certificate of secondary education (Hauptschulabschluss)
  • Good knowledge of mathematics, physics, German and English
  • An interest in electrical engineering
